International Class
was founded in 1999 as a top quality communications coaching and training resource catering to the ever growing communications
demands of the EU as businesses sought to drive themselves forward during a period of expansion and change.
Since
1999 we have lead the way in specialised courses and communications services. Our client
list includes leaders of financial institutions, multinational
banks, food and drinks manufacturers, civil engineering,
government and project management companies.
In
addition to highly experienced business trainers we
now have medical speech experts, journalists and even
a well known opera director amongst our staff….
A strange combination you might ask?
Who
better to teach you to change the way you enter the
room to create the desired impact, change the manner
in which you greet people, or help you build on how
you form your words and emphasize sentence structures
to positively influence the audience to your advantage?
However,
we are well aware that the demands of our clients
are always changing…
The
new concept of „An International Class”
"Some
companies are now staffing themselves with multi-lingual
staff who have already perhaps boasted vibrant stunning
careers in which they have used (sometimes to great
effectiveness) a number of languages to progress and
develop their careers. We are aware that our client’s
managers and leaders are there because of their intellect
and capacity to get things right. And more often than
not: in the past that meant putting down a large proportion
of their work on paper. In fact, many Hungarian leaders
have reached an extremely high level of English in
the written word, sometimes at the expense of the
spoken word. Indeed in some cases much of that speaking
capability has actually been ’educated out of
them’.
According to Sir Ken Robinson, advisor to the British Government on educational reform: In traditional educational establishments
the emphasis is placed on the written word as evidence
of academic achievement. This is a large part of our
culture and reinforced by established teaching methods.
From the age of 2 we are told to be quiet. Our creativity and our inate ability to communicate is educated out of us. In school,
rewards are firmly connected with the written word.
Early examinations are in writing. In university you
are invited to do a viva voce, or oral exam which
is almost like being punnished for not getting the
written exam right. This way natural speaking ability
is lost.
This
is a great shame now as in the modern business world
the written word is becoming antiquated.
We
call this the „New International Class”.
A class where business professionals, (what ever their
origin) live in the „same culture”, greet
each other as equals and close deals in the same fashion.
