International Class
was founded in 1999 as a top quality communications coaching and training resource catering to the ever growing communications demands of the EU as businesses sought to drive themselves forward during a period of expansion and change.

Since 1999 we have lead the way in specialised courses and communications services. Our client list includes leaders of financial institutions, multinational banks, food and drinks manufacturers, civil engineering, government and project management companies.

In addition to highly experienced business trainers we now have medical speech experts, journalists and even a well known opera director amongst our staff…. A strange combination you might ask?

Who better to teach you to change the way you enter the room to create the desired impact, change the manner in which you greet people, or help you build on how you form your words and emphasize sentence structures to positively influence the audience to your advantage?

However, we are well aware that the demands of our clients are always changing…

The new concept of „An International Class”

"Some companies are now staffing themselves with multi-lingual staff who have already perhaps boasted vibrant stunning careers in which they have used (sometimes to great effectiveness) a number of languages to progress and develop their careers. We are aware that our client’s managers and leaders are there because of their intellect and capacity to get things right. And more often than not: in the past that meant putting down a large proportion of their work on paper. In fact, many Hungarian leaders have reached an extremely high level of English in the written word, sometimes at the expense of the spoken word. Indeed in some cases much of that speaking capability has actually been ’educated out of them’.

According to Sir Ken Robinson, advisor to the British Government on educational reform: In traditional educational establishments the emphasis is placed on the written word as evidence of academic achievement. This is a large part of our culture and reinforced by established teaching methods. From the age of 2 we are told to be quiet. Our creativity and our inate ability to communicate is educated out of us. In school, rewards are firmly connected with the written word. Early examinations are in writing. In university you are invited to do a viva voce, or oral exam which is almost like being punnished for not getting the written exam right. This way natural speaking ability is lost.

This is a great shame now as in the modern business world the written word is becoming antiquated.

We call this the „New International Class”. A class where business professionals, (what ever their origin) live in the „same culture”, greet each other as equals and close deals in the same fashion.

We will soon be waving good bye to the days when stereo typical cultural differences undermine important decisions and greet others who also belong to The International Class.

But how do we learn this New International Class? What are the rules of this „exclusively executive multicultural society?” How do we communicate in this environment truly effectively? What is the meaning of a truly effective communication?

The answer is not so simple. But there are certain unwritten rules the up-to-date business man must follow should he wish to truly impress in the spoken word and influence people to his advantage on a local and international level, whether he is negotiating in a friendly one to one environment, or delivering a persuasive presentation to hostile share holders. Once we have a good idea of what a truly effective communication really means and how to manipulate the situation to our advantage in the New International Class Environment, we can greatly improve our chances of being understood. This is what pays dividends. Learning our tried and tested methodology will have an effect on the bottom line.

International Class with its expert trainers with at least 10 years of experience in their specialist business communications field will help you discover some of the solutions in this fast moving spoken environment. They will help you to understand the drawbacks and pit falls of using the spoken word in place of the increasingly antiquated written world.

As the pace of business quickens, key decisions depend increasingly on the spoken word rather than the written word. Most high achievers, however, were brought up in a world dominated by print. All too often intrinsic ability with the spoken word is 'educated out' leaving individuals unable to express themselves adequately.

Clients who have used our service have benefited in a number of ways:

• Improved sales
• Better internal communications
• Higher profile with customers
• More business pitches won
• Increased positive profile with shareholders, bankers and analysts
• Improved media coverage
• Highly motivated staff

The broad outlines listed in this introduction give you an insight to the programmes we offer. However each one can be tailored to your individual company's needs.

We have a number of case studies available for you to read to see how many companies have benefited from working with us to improve and develop their communication skills.

Since the technological communications boom, more and more top level decisions are made based on the spoken word or quickly „written” emails and often in a very short time scale. There is often no time to put a „Japanese style” paper negotiation together. Decisions are made and hands are shaken.
